Thanks for turning our dream house into reality. This is the fifth house I've had to deal with a builder, and have always dreaded the experience up till now. This was truly my first experience where everyone at Brownhaven from John to Justin to Terry and the whole team took all the worry away. Anyone can get a reasonable price quote, but it's the end result and the ease of doing business during the process that separated Brownhaven above the others. They were honest and pleasant to deal with and had the vast knowledge and experience to accomplish all the custom work we asked for with a high degree of quality and also added fantastic ideas of their own. All at a reasonable price with no hidden surprises. John twice took the time to walk our land with us to explain how we could position the house to take the best advantage of the lot before we made any commitment to him. That enthusiasm never waivered throughout the entire building process.

If you are planning to have a home built in Towns County, I suggest you talk with John Allen and Justin Moss of Brown Haven Construction before you decide on a builder. After I met with John giving him a clear idea of what I wanted in a house, he took this information to an individual who drew up the house plans. John then determined the materials needed and came up with the price I would pay assuming there would be no deviation. They were hired! A large, skilled crew
started work almost immediately; attention to the small details was commendable. I appreciate the fact that local businesses were used to supply the building paint, cabinets and appliances. I heard repeatedly what fine young men John and Justin were assuring me of their integrity.
What I wanted was a well-built home at a reasonable price, and that’s what I got. I would recommend John and Justin.

In looking at purchasing a new home in an area with which I was unfamiliar, the realtor I was working with took me to view a home being built by Brown Haven Building. The home had many of the features that I was looking for, and, being in the framing stage, I was able to choose the options available and to make several changes. This can be a somewhat stressful and overwhelming venture, particularly when there are time constraints involved. However, John was very responsive, patient, helpful, and always courteous.
Equally so were the vendors whom I dealt with for paint, appliances, cabinetry, flooring, etc. I was impressed that all had a good working relationship and regard for Brown Haven Building.
John was also very responsive and conscientious when I gave him the "to do" list after the closing. He scheduled the work to be done within days after I submitted it.
The development has gorgeous mountain views, wide paved roads, and a warm, friendly community atmosphere, which is especially nice.
We are very pleased with our new home and think it absolutely beautiful!

We purchased our home in Ridgeview Mountain in June of 2009. From the very beginning, John was a pleasure to work with. As part of the sales agreement, John agreed to remodel the guest bath to accommodate my Mother in Law who is handicapped. John and Justin have been more than helpful every step of the way as we have settled in to our home.
I continue to be impressed with quality of the construction on our home. Throughout the community, when I mention John Allen and Justin Moss built our home, I am told they are known for building quality homes.
I certainly would not hesitate to recommend John and Justin to anyone looking for a great home and great service.

"quality and attention to detail"
After 30 years of military service, my wife and I retired to the mountains last year. We had bought a piece of property here many years ago and our dream "tree" house, which had evolved over the years, was still nothing more than a drawing on a few sheets of paper.
We shopped around many of the local builders and while they all seemed hungry for the project, most immediately began to change what we thought were important aspects of our home. We happened upon Brown Haven by series of coincidences that I won't go into here but I will say that it was a spec house that they had just finished that initially caught our interest.
The materials used and the quality of construction were far superior than that of all we had seen in the area. The quality and attention to detail was so much better than even the model homes we had visited. We determined that if this is what their spec house looks like, imagine what our dream home would look like. My gosh did they deliver!
Our home is so much more than even we had ever imagined. I could go on and on but I know I need to be concise here so I will close with saying that our experience with Brown Haven could not have been better. Both John and Justin took the time to get a feel of what it was we were trying to build and held our hand through the entire project. Unlike the other contractors, on our
first visit with John he never batted an eye at our plans and never tried to change what it was we were trying to build. He did however show us a way to gain more living space in our great room with only minimal additional costs. I am so glad we took his advice.
When we had a problem with one of the sub-contractors, John helped us find another and we wound up saving over four thousand dollars. Karen and I have decided that there is nothing Justin can't do. Whether it's electrical, HVAC, carpentry or plumbing, Justin knows it and knows it well. Moreover, he meticulously looks over every detail and does it all as though he was building his own house. I can't imagine anyone better suited to supervise major construction projects. He gets right in there with all the subs and makes it happen. You can tell he loves doing what he does.
Karen and I know they have the potential to be as big as they want to be and we will always be their biggest fans. "experience a seamless building process"
For anyone looking to build or buy a well built home, and to experience a seamless building process, we would highly recommend John Ross Allen and Justin Moss of Brown Haven Construction. Recently, my mother decided to build a Summer home here in the Hiawassee area. But, she was worried about building while she was still living out of state and could not be here to monitor the project. As her daughter, I volunteered to assist in this process.
Thanks to John, Justin, and their crews, there was no monitoring to do or problems to be dealt
with. We would tell anyone interested in buying a home that Brown Haven Construction took charge of the project and did a fantastic job!
Any concerns, questions or modifications that we have had during and after the building process have been dealt with expeditiously and very satisfactorily. To say the least, we've been extremely pleased with the building process, timeliness of the project, and of the finished product being my mother's new dream home!

My wife and I bought a cabin in Young Harris from John in July, 2008. Every aspect of our buying experience was pleasant and efficient. We put the deal together in 30 minutes, and closed in 30 days. Everyone involved with John: his real estate office, his attorney's office, and the mortgage company, was courteous and helpful and friendly. I still have business cards from all of the people that were involved in our real estate deal, and I would recommend all of them.

When building a house, nothing can do better than a personal endorsement. I know because I tried the business-like way, attending a home builders' show, setting up interviews with potential buildings, and soliciting proposals. None of these efforts were at all satisfactory.
Then came a recommendation for Brown Haven Heights Construction Company, John Allen and Justin Moss. Once I met them, two things sold me on their services, that they would work on a contract basis and their enthusiam backed by clear and obvious knowledge of the trade.
Even though no construction project ever goes day by day in what you might consider a perfect manner, I sincerely doubt that mine could have gone better. They were always open to comments and suggestions and never failed to ask me when there was a question or issue. Perhaps most wonderfully, once the project was complete, they did not disappear into the sunset but remain good and effective partners.

Pam and I searched Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina for two years to find the perfect vacation home site. We chanced upon John Allen at a home construction site near Hiawassee.
John was casual, non-pressuring, receptive, and enthusiastic about his company's ability to build a home to our specifications and budget. We were so impressed, we signed a contract with him for the lot next door that very day.
The home construction recently finished and we can say whole-heartedly that we could not be more pleased! It is everything we wanted and more.
